Mostly Computers cannot Work without Operating System. For Example...A Human without food and a Car without Petrol. There are basically many Kinds of Operating System. Operating System acts like an interface between a user and a Computer.

There are Two kinds of Interfaces. They are Graphical User Interface and Character User Interface. Examples of Graphical User Interface are Windows and Linux. Examples of Character User Interface are Dos and Unix.
